1. Data we collect

Identification and contact details you provide directly (name, email, telephone, company, project brief); correspondence records from calls and email; project documents you share with us; and technical data generated automatically (IP address, browser type, device class, referral page, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from IP).

2. Purposes and legal bases

We process data to answer briefs and issue quotes (pre-contract steps, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); to deliver contracted design work and invoice (contract performance, Art. 6(1)(b)); to keep the website secure and functioning (legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f)); to satisfy accounting and legal record-keeping (legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c)); and to send occasional studio notes only where you have given consent, withdrawable at any time (Art. 6(1)(a)).

3. Recipients and processors

Data is shared only with the processors that allow the Studio to operate: our hosting and email providers, our payment processor (Stripe) for invoice settlement, and the provider of the location map embedded on the contact page. Processors act under written instructions and are bound to confidentiality. We do not sell personal data and do not run advertising trackers.

4. International transfers

French Guiana applies the GDPR as an outermost region of the European Union. Where a provider stores data outside the European Economic Area, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, with supplementary measures where required.

5. Retention

Briefs that do not become engagements are deleted after 12 months. Client project records and invoices are kept for the statutory accounting period of 10 years. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe. Technical logs are rotated after 90 days.

6. Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and portability of your data, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; for French Guiana this is the CNIL (France).

These terms govern every engagement between you (“the Client”) and DesignLoomSpace, 97300, 6 rue canne a sucre - Coconut D35, Cayenne, French Guiana, contactable at [email protected]. A signed proposal that references these terms takes precedence where the two differ.

1. Scope of services

The Studio provides interface design, layout composition, design systems, brand identity, accessibility reviews, and related advisory work. The deliverables, milestones, and dates for each engagement are set out in a written proposal. Anything not listed — including copywriting, photography, development, and third-party licensing — sits outside scope unless agreed in writing.

2. Quotes, booking and payment

Quotes are valid for 30 days and are fixed once accepted. A 40% deposit reserves the project slot; the balance falls due at handover of the final files. Payments are made by card or bank transfer through our secure payment page. Invoices are payable within 10 calendar days; unpaid balances beyond that period may pause work and accrue statutory late-interest charges.

3. Client responsibilities

The Client supplies accurate content, brand assets, and feedback within agreed review windows (five business days per round). Delays in feedback shift every subsequent milestone by the same duration. The Client confirms that materials supplied to the Studio are licensed for this use and do not infringe third-party rights.

4. Revisions

Each phase includes two rounds of revision as stated in the proposal. Further rounds, or changes to a direction already approved, are quoted separately at the Studio's then-current hourly rate. Approval of a design is recorded in writing (email is sufficient).

5. Intellectual property

On receipt of final payment, the Client receives full rights to the approved deliverables for the purposes described in the proposal. The Studio retains ownership of preliminary concepts, working files, methods, and reusable components, and reserves the right to display non-confidential work in its portfolio. Third-party assets (typefaces, imagery, icons) remain subject to their own licences.

6. Confidentiality

Both parties keep confidential information secret during and after the engagement, except where disclosure is legally required. A mutual non-disclosure agreement is available on request before the first call.

7. Liability

The Studio performs with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, aggregate liability is limited to the amount paid by the Client for the engagement giving rise to the claim, and the Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or loss of data caused by third parties. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Termination and governing law

Either party may end an engagement with 14 days' written notice; the Client pays for work completed up to that date and deposits for work not yet performed are non-refundable once the phase has begun. These terms are governed by the laws of France, applicable in French Guiana, and the courts of Cayenne have exclusive jurisdiction.
